Cezar’s Projects currently owns and operates two main rural initiatives: Farmville Barouk, an agritourism project, and Cezar’s guesthouses in Barouk village.
Additionally, we manage other sustainable tourism initiatives and have partnered with Maaser Donkey Farm owned by Chibli Abu Assi in Maaser El Shouf and Streeh by Lamia in Brih Village.
Each project offers a unique cultural and rural experience, enriching the journeys of our valued guests.
Established in 2017, Cezar’s Guesthouse has hosted 1500+ Guests from 70+ different countries offering them a set of authentic experiences and Rural Tourism Packages.
Our beautiful home, with its traditional Lebanese architecture was one of the first AirBnb properties in the Shouf Region.
Following our success with the main Guesthouse, we added the Mini Guest House, a cozy and charming accommodation option next door. Offering more personalized experiences to our esteemed guests.
Guests can truly experience farm life and gain an appreciation for the natural rhythms of the countryside, pick fresh veggies, feed and interact with a diverse array of animals and participate in agricultural activities.
Offering a unique and immersive rural experience, the farm consists of charming wooden cabins for farm stay of various sizes, spread across a beautiful expanse of land.
In addition, we offer our guests a delicious breakfast or lunch, and a light dinner and bar service during our cozy bonfire nights.
In 2021, Cezar’s Projects partnered with Chibli, a local hero committed to revitalizing his family’s traditional lifestyle and raising environmental consciousness in Maaser El Shouf village. Together, we launched the Maaser Donkey Farm project, providing an immersive rural farm experience.
Our project aims to offer visitors the chance to actively participate in eco-friendly farming practices, such as milking goats, interacting with and feeding a diverse range of farm animals, and distilling freshly picked herbs. Moreover, guests have the opportunity to accompany our friendly donkeys on a scenic walk through the agricultural fields, followed by a moment of relaxation in the oak tree house.
The Maaser Donkey Farm project not only involves local farmers but also creates various socially sustainable opportunities for the community, ensuring a positive impact on the region’s development.
Maaser farm table, is the result of local community
collaboration, offering a farm to table agritourism experience through educational and entertaining activities. We are promoting sustainable farming, preserving the natural and cultural resources, engaging the community by putting locals (farmers and cooks) at the center of the experience, and selling their produce, all in an interactive experience sharing their local heritage.
Our mission is to offer a farm-to-table experience to our visitors through education and entertaining activities, while preserving the natural resources and cultural resources through sustainable farming and cultural activities, engaging the community, putting locals at the center of the experience
Having a deep passion for cooking and a lovely welcoming demeanor, Lamia was looking for ways to create value in the midst of a financial crisis.
That’s when the idea dawned on her: A guesthouse where she can leverage her love for people as well as hone her passion for cooking by teaching the art of rural cuisine to her guests, using wild herbs and other natural ingredients and showing them how to incorporate them into their meals to create a truly unique and flavorful experience for guests from all over the globe.
As part of our mission to constantly deliver value to rural development, we joined forces with Nutreat Clinic and involved 16 families and farmers from the Shouf Region.
Today we sell over 26 items in 4 locations across the region. These products include various syrups, jams, distilled herb water, vinegar, herbs and more.
All products are then tested, packaged and labeled by our certified dietitian at Nutreat Clinic.
Being a skilled artesian with years of experience in the craft of kanoon making (Pottery), Khelte Rahija chose to open her house in Batloun to visitors from all over the world to teach them the craft while they savor the authentic flavors the village has to offer and have a sip of Mate, a traditional drink in the Shouf region.
Khelte Rahija’s experience became a symbol of heritage, community, authenticity, and a cherished tradition attracting visitors from all walks of life.
One of our most recently launched projects in partnership with AMURT Lebanon and the Barouk-Freidis Municipality was the Community Kitchen, a project aimed at benefiting the locals by inviting them to benefit from the advanced machines and cooking facilities in order for them to create whatever delicacies and meals they would like, at a lower cost.
It will be a great opportunity for learning, sharing experiences and developing skills that will in return, help improve food safety measures as well as effectively benefiting from the agricultural resources in the region in order to enhance the production of the local rural products.
In an initiative aimed at further infusing a sense of adventure and uniqueness into the Rural Tourism scene in Lebanon, Cezars’s Projects collaborated with Gravity Advisors and the Shouf Biosphere Reserve to create this exhilarating experience for tourists and locals alike.
This project aims at creating a national touristic attraction as people paraglide from the top of the Barouk Forrest all the way down to Cezar’s Projects, witnessing the beautiful scenery of the masterpiece that is the Shouf region from above.
